Portugal was elected, for the fourth consecutive year, the Best Destination in Europe in the 2020 edition of the ‘World Travel Awards’, the ‘Oscars of Tourism’, a distinction awarded by professionals in the sector whose ceremony, this year, took place in virtual format. In total, Portugal received 21 awards in the tourism sector, in the various categories.

A new style of driving licence has been launched in Portugal, featuring an innovative design and an improvement to security validation. This design has resulted in combining offset and screen printing techniques, creating a more harmonious visual aspect of the background with anti-copy motifs - guilloches, microtexts and lines of variable thickness - which cannot be reproduced by conventional means.
