Rod and Margret Vernon moved to the Algarve in the early 1980s after spending many years vacationing there. Like many others seeking to live the dream in the Algarve, they decided to relocate to provide themselves and their children with a better quality of life.

They founded the first Vernon real estate office in Monte Carvoeiro in the early 1980s, followed by satellite offices in Lagos, the centre of Carvoeiro (now our main office), Portimão, Alvor, and the Rocha Brava complex, establishing a solid presence in the Algarve real estate market. 

Cláudia - Portuguese nationality, born in Portimão, Algarve, graduated in Tourism in 1993 is fluent in English, German, French, Spanish and understands Italian.

Cláudia began her career in hospitality, where she learned to work in an efficient and competent professional manner with clients of all nationalities before joining Vernon Real Estate in 1999.

Now with over 26 years of experience in the Algarve property market, and with several trainings and intensive courses related to Real Estate, Cláudia has built a strong reputation. She leads the team as manager, and combines local knowledge with international expertise. Offering trusted advice and expert guidance to both buyers and sellers.

Amanda joined Vernon in May 2021 full of enthusiasm, in the last few years she has devoted herself to learn as much information as she could and has proved to be a quick learner, with good administration and communication skills, with substantial experience in dealing with customers at all levels. She is ready to assist owners and buyers in this real estate market and give them any professional advice.

Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland (and yes, she can speak both English and Scottish!) and understands Portuguese

Emily joined Vernon team in April 2023. She is the first person that will meet & greet you at the office with a smile.

She has proven to be a fast learner with strong communication and administrative skills.
