Spanish pensioners move to Portugal for tax benefits. The spanish newspaper says the “people are hospitable,” the “cities are attractive,” it highlights Lisbon, Porto and Braga and mentions the “vast rural landscape,” “healthy diet” and “wild unspoilt coastlines”. ABC states that interest from British citizens has also picked up over Brexit uncertainties with the Lisbon and Porto regions attracting most applications for the NHR regime as well as the Algarve and Madeira. Retired Spanish over 65 group are opting to move to Portugal to avoid paying higher taxes in their own country. ABC states the moving to Portugal means saving thousands of euros in tax payments.

Organized by United Carvoeiro Futebol Clube, the Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro promotes the Arraial Popular de São Pedro, on June 29, from 6pm to 00:00 in the area surrounding the Polidesportivo da Praia do Carvoeiro. An option for the whole family and friends to have fun to the sound of music, with drinks, pork on a skewer, sardines and many snacks, whose initiative is organized by the United Carvoeiro Futebol Clube (UCFC), with the support of the Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro, Municipality of Lagoa and Dos Santos Craft Beer.
Portugal voted Europe's best tourist destination for the fourth consecutive year in 2020 World Travel Awards

Portugal was elected, for the fourth consecutive year, the Best Destination in Europe in the 2020 edition of the ‘World Travel Awards’, the ‘Oscars of Tourism’, a distinction awarded by professionals in the sector whose ceremony, this year, took place in virtual format. The city of Porto won the award for Best Destination ‘City Break’ (short trips) in Europe. Lisbon took the award for Best European Cruise Destination and the Algarve was again the Best Beach Destination in Europe and Madeira archipelago the best island destination in Europe. In total, Portugal received 21 awards in the tourism sector, in the various categories.
