Tax Free for non EU residents
If you live outside the EU, regardless of your nationality, you can get back the VAT of the products you buy and take back to your country of residence.
You must first note if the shop you chose to buy from is a Tax Free shop, usually they will have the sticker on the window. You also have to present your Passport and proof of residence when you shop. Keep the forms you are given and the receipts. When packing, remember to leave the Tax Free items handy, as you will be asked to show them going through Customs, before Check-in.
Take into account the queues at the Tax Free stands when you go to the airport, as you may have to wait in line to get you reimbursement.
The amount to be reimbursed depends on the agreement the shop has done, although some countries establish the percentage. There are no maximum amount limits, only minimum amounts under which there is no tax reimbursement. There is, however, a list of exclusions.
