Summer Events 2026 Not to Miss in the Algarve

Get ready for an unforgettable summer filled with sunshine, flavour and entertainment!  Summer in the Algarve brings an exciting programme of music, culture, traditional flavours and open-air celebrations.

Discover some of the Algarve’s most exciting events—from vibrant local traditions to lively festivals, delicious regional cuisine and unforgettable performances beneath the stars.

 

From 22 to 26 July, the Arte Doce Fair in Lagos celebrates regional sweets, crafts and live music.

 

On 24 and 25 July, Noitada transforms Portimão into a vibrant open-air celebration of art, light, music and culture.

 

Also taking place from 24 to 26 July, the Feira da Serra brings the traditions of the Algarve countryside to the centre of São Brás de Alportel, with local gastronomy, handicrafts, concerts and family entertainment.

 

August begins with Portimão’s popular Sardine Festival, followed by the spectacular Silves Medieval Fair, from 7 to 15 August, when the historic city returns to the days of ancient Xilb.

 

Food lovers can enjoy fresh seafood and major live performances at the Olhão Seafood Festival, from 10 to 15 August. The summer programme continues with FATACIL in Lagoa, from 21 to 30 August—one of the Algarve’s largest fairs, celebrating regional crafts, agriculture, gastronomy, commerce and music.
