Sardine Festival

Get ready for six days of pure fun! The Sardine Festival is back, with another day of celebration and an unmissable novelty: the historical recreation of the sardine discharge, on the 5th of August. Don't miss it!

From Tuesday, August 5, until Sunday, the 10th, roasted sardines will reign in the Portimão riverside area, in five nights of good food and lots of excitement, in a popular party that marks the Algarve summer since the 1980s.

Until Sunday, August 10th, the queens of the party, accompanied with boiled potatoes and Algarve salad, or just on the plate or on a slice of bread can be tasted by all. 

Next to the old Portimao Fish Market, "Petinga Park" will provide, between 7pm till 11:45pm, a space entirely dedicated to families, with inflatables and various activities for everyone, totally free.
